Enable, Disable, or Delete a Connection

Vanessa H · Updated

A new Connection is created Disabled — it won’t import orders, process them, or send shipments to the warehouse until you enable it. You can enable, disable, or delete a Connection at any time.

Enable or disable from the Connections list

Each row in the Connections list has an enable/disable switch in the Enabled column. Toggle it on to enable the Connection, off to disable it.

Enable, disable, or delete from a Connection page

When viewing a Connection, the Actions menu in the top-right offers:

  • Enable Connection / Disable Connection — same as the list toggle, but for the Connection you’re currently viewing.
  • Delete — permanently delete the Connection.

What happens when you disable a Connection

Disabling a Connection immediately stops all order operations: orders are no longer imported from the store, processed, or sent to the warehouse for fulfillment. Re-enabling resumes operations from the current state — DropStream does not retroactively pull in orders that arrived while the Connection was disabled.

Note: Disabling a Connection does not affect billing. Your account is billed for the stores you’ve created, regardless of whether they’re active. To stop billing for a store, the store must be deleted.

What happens when you delete a Connection

Deleting a Connection removes it from DropStream and stops all data flow between the store and warehouse. The underlying Merchant, Store, and Warehouse records are not deleted — they remain available for use in other Connections. To remove those entirely, delete them from their respective management pages.

Deletion cannot be undone. If you only want to pause data flow, disable the Connection instead.
