Set the shipment import schedule

Documentation Team · Updated

DropStream pulls shipment notifications from each connection’s WMS on a recurring schedule. The default is every four hours. The schedule is configured per channel on the connection — this article covers the Shipments channel.

View the current schedule

  1. Click Connections in the left sidebar, then click the name of the connection.
  2. On the Channels tab, find the Shipments card.

Channel cards on a connection, with the Shipments card

The card shows:

  • Recurrence — a plain-language description of the current schedule.
  • Last completed — when the most recent import run finished.
  • Next update — when the next scheduled run will start.
  • A clock icon to edit the schedule, and a refresh icon to import order status now.

Edit the schedule

  1. Click the clock icon at the right of the Shipments card. The Edit rules modal opens with the current schedule rules listed.

  2. To add a new rule, click Add schedule and choose a type:

    Schedule type options

    Type What it does
Minutely Runs every N minutes. Minimum is 15 minutes.
    Hourly Runs every N hours.
    Daily Runs every N days.
Flexible A custom schedule that recurs on specified days and hour ranges, repeating weekly.
  3. Set the values for each rule. To remove a rule, click its Delete button.
  4. Click Save changes.

You can stack multiple rules — for example, a Daily rule for off-hours plus a Minutely rule during business hours. DropStream runs an import whenever any active rule fires.

Run an import now

Click the refresh icon on the Shipments card to import shipments immediately, without waiting for the next scheduled run.

Pause imports without losing the schedule

Toggle the switch at the top right of the Shipments card off to pause imports while keeping the schedule configuration. See Pause shipment imports for details and side effects.
