Pause shipment imports

Neil G · Updated

To stop pulling shipments from a connection’s WMS without losing the schedule configuration, toggle the Shipments channel switch off.

When you’d use this

  • Temporarily during a WMS outage or migration, to silence repeated import errors.
  • While testing a new connection where you don’t yet want shipments to be reported back to the source sales channel.
  • For connections where shipment notifications are handled outside DropStream entirely.

Disable the channel

  1. Click Connections in the left sidebar, then click the name of the connection.
  2. On the Channels tab, find the Shipments card.
  3. Click the toggle at the top right of the card to switch it off.

What changes when shipments are disabled

  • DropStream stops requesting order status updates from the connection’s WMS.
  • The source sales channel will not receive shipment notifications for orders fulfilled through this connection while the channel is disabled.
  • Orders already imported to DropStream cannot transition from Open to a terminal Shipped or Closed status — they will sit in Open until shipments are resumed.
  • The schedule configuration (recurrence rules) is preserved. Toggling the channel back on resumes imports on the same schedule.

Re-enable

Toggle the switch back on. The next scheduled run, or a manual click of the refresh icon on the card, will resume imports.
