This article is for whoever connects a Cin7 Omni account inside DropStream — a fulfillment provider (3PL) or a merchant who manages their own DropStream account. You’ll add the store through DropStream’s Add Connection wizard. If a fulfillment provider is setting up DropStream for you, you don’t need this page — just gather your Cin7 Omni API credentials and send them over.
What you’ll need
- A DropStream account you can sign in to.
- Your Cin7 Omni API Username and API Password (the API Key) — see Cin7 Omni - Get Your API Credentials.
How DropStream connects to Cin7 Omni
Every store connects through the same Add Connection wizard. For the full walkthrough of the wizard’s four steps, see Add a Connection. This article covers only the Store Setup step, where you enter the Cin7 Omni-specific details.

In the Add Connection wizard, work through to the Store Setup step. Choose Create new store, give the store a Name, and select Cin7 Omni as the Platform. The Cin7 Omni credential fields appear below.

(Optional) Set the Stage — the sales-order stage DropStream imports:
New,Awaiting Payment,Dispatched(default),Processing,On Hold, orDeclined. (The Accept Orders After setting currently has no effect.) -
Click Add connection.
Notes
- The Cin7 Omni API Connection must grant read access to Contacts, Branches, Product Categories, Products, Product Options, Stock, Serial Numbers, Quotes, and BOM Masters, plus read + update on Sales Orders.
