Narvar - Enable API Access

Neil G · Updated

This article is for whoever connects Narvar inside DropStream — a fulfillment provider (3PL) or a merchant who manages their own DropStream account. You’ll add the connection through DropStream’s Add Connection wizard. This integration processes returns submitted through Narvar for a Shopify store; it doesn’t import new orders.

If a fulfillment provider is setting up DropStream for you, you don’t need this page — just gather your Narvar credentials and send them over.

What you’ll need

How DropStream connects to Narvar

Every connection is added through the same Add Connection wizard. For the full walkthrough of the wizard’s four steps, see Add a Connection. This article covers only the Store Setup step, where you enter the Narvar-specific details.

Enter your Narvar details

  1. In the Add Connection wizard, work through to the Store Setup step. Choose Create new store, give it a Name, and select Narvar as the Platform. The Narvar credential fields appear below.

  2. Enter your credentials:

    Field What it is Example
Username Your Narvar API username api@example.com
Password Your Narvar API password ••••••••
Shop Domain Your Shopify store domain myshop.myshopify.com

For where to find each value, see Get Your API Credentials.

  3. (Optional) Adjust the returns settings:

    • Process refund — turn on to have DropStream process the refund associated with a return.
    • Return completion method — how DropStream acknowledges a return (shipment on its way to, received by, or delivered to the retailer).
  4. Click Add connection.

Notes

  • This connection handles returns, not new orders. Returns originate in Narvar for the linked Shopify store.
