A sales order return is the record DropStream creates when a returns management system reports that a customer return has been approved against an order. Returns are imported from each connection on its return-import schedule, and DropStream uses them to notify the warehouse to expect a return.
To open the returns list, click Sales Orders in the left sidebar, then Returns.
What you can do with returns
- View a return — open a return to see its line items, summary, and the full return-details drawer.
- Return statuses — what each fulfillment-status value means.
- Return actions — reprocess, reset, archive, or delete returns one at a time or in bulk.
The toolbar (Filter by, search, Columns, view selector) on the returns list is the same as every other list page in DropStream — see Saved views, filters, and columns for how the shared mechanics work. Returns can be filtered by Status, Merchant, Sales Channel, and Date.
Returns rules
Returns flow through DropStream’s rules engine in their own hook context — the Return Import hook. See Rules for Imported Returns for recipes that categorize, route, tag, or fail returns based on the imported data.
