Return actions

Karl Falconer · Updated

The Actions dropdown at the top right of a return’s detail page is the entry point for everything you can do to that return. Which actions appear depends on the return’s current status.

Single-return actions

Reprocess

Retries the most recent processing step for the return. Use Reprocess when a return has stalled — for example, after you fixed an Error, or after the source sales channel came back online.

Reset

Reverts all DropStream processing on the return, including any rule actions, and starts processing again from the beginning as if the return had just been imported.

Reset is destructive — any state DropStream produced from rules is recomputed.

Archive

Stops further processing without deleting the return. Archived returns aren’t sent to the source sales channel and aren’t re-imported from the warehouse. The return data stays in DropStream for reference. To resume processing an archived return, Reprocess or Reset it.

Delete

Permanently removes the return from DropStream. The return is not deleted from the warehouse or returns system, so if it’s still eligible for import there, DropStream will pick it up again on the next return import.

If you want to halt processing without risking re-import, use Archive instead.

Bulk actions

To act on multiple returns at once, select rows on the returns list using the checkboxes in the first column. A selection bar appears with Reprocess as the primary action and a More Actions menu for everything else.

The More Actions menu contains Reset, Archive, and Delete — the same destructive operations available on the single-return Actions menu, applied to every selected return.

Bulk operations run in the background. The list refreshes as each return finishes; you can navigate away and check back later.
