ApparelMagic - Configure for Automated Fulfillment

Documentation Team · Updated

DropStream connects your ApparelMagic account to a warehouse management system so orders flow automatically from sale to shipment, and stock levels stay in sync without manual intervention.

What this integration does

  • Imports orders from ApparelMagic into DropStream (as Sales Orders or Pick Tickets).
  • Forwards orders to your warehouse management system, with line items mapped by SKU.
  • Posts fulfillment status back to ApparelMagic when the warehouse ships, including tracking numbers and carrier information.
  • Pushes inventory updates from the warehouse to ApparelMagic.

What you’ll need

  • An ApparelMagic account you can sign in to.
  • Your ApparelMagic Company, Token, Warehouse, and Vendor.
  • A DropStream account. If you don’t have one yet, contact your DropStream administrator or fulfillment provider.

Setup at a glance

The setup involves work on two sides — ApparelMagic, then DropStream — and the recommended order is:

  1. Get your API credentials (in ApparelMagic) — note the Company, Token, Warehouse, and Vendor.
  2. Enable API access (in DropStream) — add the store through the Add Connection wizard and enter your ApparelMagic credentials.
  3. Review order status — confirm orders are flowing end-to-end once the integration is enabled.

Who does what

  • If you manage your own DropStream account, you’ll do every step yourself — switching between ApparelMagic and DropStream as the article order suggests.
  • If a third-party fulfillment provider is configuring DropStream for you, you only need Get your API credentials. Send the resulting credentials to your provider; they handle the rest.

Notes and limitations

  • The Vendor (Inventory Vendor Name) is required so DropStream can create the Receiver. If no physical goods are received, use a virtual vendor for inventory adjustments.
  • The SKU Identifier setting (Alt SKU, Retailer SKU, Style Number, or UPC) controls which ApparelMagic field DropStream matches against your warehouse SKUs.
