Stock keeping units (SKUs) are merchant-defined codes that uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in Infusionsoft exactly match the SKUs loaded into your warehouse management system.
Add a new SKU
To add an SKU to a new product:
- In your Infusionsoft admin panel, and go to the eCommerce module.
- In eCommerce Setup, click Products.
- Click Add a Product.
- Fill in the product details. Set the Product Type to Product.
- On the Manage Product page, enter an SKU.
- Click Save.
Modify an existing SKU
To modify an SKU for an existing product:
- Log in to your Infusionsoft administration panel, and go to the eCommerce module.
- In eCommerce Setup, click Products.
- Click a Product name.
- Modify the product's SKU.
- Click Save.
Create SKUs for product options
For products with options, it is important that each of the options has a corresponding SKU, and that the fulfillment provider is aware of them.
To set up product option SKUs is Infusionsoft:
- In the Infusionsoft Dashboard, go to the eCommerce module.
- Click Products.
- Click the Product name..
- Click the Product Options tab.
- Provide a Name for the product option, and set the Option type.
- Click Add.
- Under Create a New Color Option Value, enter a Value Name and Code for the new product option. The code is the SKU which will be sent to the the fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.
- Click Add.
