NuORDER - Enable API Access

Karl Falconer · Updated

This article is for whoever connects a NuORDER account inside DropStream — a fulfillment provider (3PL) or a merchant who manages their own DropStream account. You’ll add the store through DropStream’s Add Connection wizard. If a fulfillment provider is setting up DropStream for you, you don’t need this page — just gather your NuORDER API credentials and send them over.

What you’ll need

  • A DropStream account you can sign in to.
  • Your NuORDER Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Token, and Token Secret, plus your account’s Application Type (Wholesale or Retail) — see NuORDER - Get Your API Credentials.

How DropStream connects to NuORDER

Every store connects through the same Add Connection wizard. For the full walkthrough of the wizard’s four steps, see Add a Connection. This article covers only the Store Setup step, where you enter the NuORDER-specific details.

Enter your NuORDER details

  1. In the Add Connection wizard, work through to the Store Setup step. Choose Create new store, give the store a Name, and select NuORDER as the Platform. The NuORDER credential fields appear below.

  2. Enter your credentials:

    Field What it is Example
Application Type Whether the account is Wholesale or Retail Wholesale
Consumer Key Your NuORDER API consumer key abcd1234…
Consumer Secret Your NuORDER API consumer secret ••••••••
Token The token for the approved PB_DEV application efgh5678…
Token Secret The token secret for PB_DEV ••••••••

For where to find each value, see Get Your API Credentials.

  3. Click Add connection.

Notes

  • The initial NuORDER API request must be performed manually by a DropStream Support agent. Email your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret to support@getdropstream.com; once they confirm the request, approve the PB_DEV application in NuORDER and retain the resulting Token and Token Secret.
