Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are codes that identify each product so your warehouse knows what to pick and pack. Every product you fulfill through DropStream should have a SKU defined in BigCommerce. BigCommerce treats the Product Code/SKU field as optional, but for automated fulfillment it is effectively required — an order line with no SKU can’t be matched to a warehouse product.
Your BigCommerce SKUs don’t have to be identical to the SKUs in your warehouse. If a product’s BigCommerce SKU and warehouse SKU are the same, it passes straight through. If they differ, you don’t need to rename anything on either side — create a Listing in DropStream to map the BigCommerce (channel) SKU to the warehouse product. See Add or Edit a Listing and How Listings Resolve SKUs.
