3dcart - Enable API Access

This article is for whoever connects a 3dcart store inside DropStream — a fulfillment provider (3PL) or a merchant who manages their own DropStream account. You’ll add the store through DropStream’s Add Connection wizard. If a fulfillment provider is setting up DropStream for you, you don’t need this page — just gather your 3dcart Secure URL and authorize the DropStream app (below), then send the Secure URL over.

What you’ll need

• A DropStream account you can sign in to.
• Your 3dcart Secure URL — see 3dcart - Get Your API Credentials.
• Admin access to your 3dcart store, to authorize the DropStream app.

Authorize the DropStream app in 3dcart

Before DropStream can connect, enable the 3dcart REST API module and authorize the DropStream app.

1. Click Modules and search for REST API.
2. Enable the module, then click Change Settings.
3. Click Add, enter ce8f4894b8c178a781bbc0d38c182584 as the Public Key, and click Add.
4. Click Authorize.

Legacy 3dcart admin panel

1. Click Settings > General Store Settings.
2. Under REST API, click Change Settings.
3. Click Add, enter ce8f4894b8c178a781bbc0d38c182584 as the Public Key, and click Add.
4. Click Authorize.

How DropStream connects to 3dcart

Every store connects through the same Add Connection wizard. For the full walkthrough of the wizard’s four steps, see Add a Connection. This article covers only the Store Setup step, where you enter the 3dcart-specific details.

Enter your 3dcart details

1. In the Add Connection wizard, work through to the Store Setup step. Choose Create new store, give the store a Name, and select 3dcart as the Platform. The 3dcart credential field appears below.

2. Enter your credential:

   Field	What it is	Example
   Secure URL	Your store’s secure URL	https://mystore.s3dcart.com

3. Click Add connection.

Notes

• You must authorize the DropStream app in 3dcart (above) before the Secure URL connection will work.

Once the connection is added, continue with Configure SKUs, then confirm orders are flowing with Review Order Status.
