Khaos Control - Enable API Access

Neil G · Updated

This article is for whoever connects a Khaos Control account inside DropStream — a fulfillment provider (3PL) or a merchant who manages their own DropStream account. You’ll add the store through DropStream’s Add Connection wizard. If a fulfillment provider is setting up DropStream for you, you don’t need this page — just gather your Khaos Control API credentials and send them over.

What you’ll need

How DropStream connects to Khaos Control

Every store connects through the same Add Connection wizard. For the full walkthrough of the wizard’s four steps, see Add a Connection. This article covers only the Store Setup step, where you enter the Khaos Control-specific details.

Enter your Khaos Control details

  1. In the Add Connection wizard, work through to the Store Setup step. Choose Create new store, give the store a Name, and select Khaos Control as the Platform. The Khaos Control credential fields appear below.

  2. Enter your credentials:

    Field What it is Example
URL Your Khaos Control API URL https://api.khaoscloud.com/...
User Password Your Khaos Control API user password ••••••••

For where to find each value, see Get Your API Credentials.

  3. (Optional) Adjust the import settings:

    • Order Import Status — the Khaos Control status that signals an order is ready, one of RELEASED (9, the default), STAGING (10), AUTHORISEPAYMENT (11), PICKING (12), PACKING (13), SHIPPING (14), INVOICING (15), or ISSUE (16).
    • Substage ID — Substage ID for acknowledgement.
    • Site Name — Site Name for inventory updates.
  4. Click Add connection.

Notes

  • Credentials are provided by your Khaos Control representative — request them if you don’t already have them.
  • The default monitored status is RELEASED (9). Change it if your workflow signals readiness at a different stage.
