A Notification Channel is a destination where DropStream sends alerts when one of your Alert Policies is triggered. A channel defines where messages go (currently, a list of email addresses) and how frequently they should be batched.
Open Notification Channels
- Click your account name in the top-right of any DropStream screen, then click Account settings.
- In the Settings sidebar, expand Alert Settings and click Notification Channels.
Existing channels are listed with their platform, name, email frequency, and any active “skip until” time. Click Edit or Remove on a row to modify or delete a channel.
Add a channel
- Click + Add Notification Channel.
- Enter a descriptive Name for the channel.
- (Optional) Under Skip Notifications Until Specific Time, pick a date and time to mute this channel — useful during a planned maintenance window or while you work through a backlog. The channel automatically resumes after that time.
- Under Platform, select Email.
When you choose Email, additional fields appear:
- In Email addresses list, enter one or more email addresses that should receive notifications from this channel.
- In Frequency, enter how often DropStream should batch messages
delivered to this channel — for example,
10m(every 10 minutes),1h(once an hour), or2d(once every two days). The default is10m. - Click Save.
The channel is now available to attach to an Alert Policy.
