DropStream connects your UltraCart account to a warehouse management system so orders flow automatically from sale to shipment, and stock levels stay in sync without manual intervention.
What this integration does
- Imports orders from UltraCart into DropStream.
- Forwards orders to your warehouse management system, with line items mapped by SKU.
- Posts fulfillment status back to UltraCart when the warehouse ships, including tracking numbers and carrier information.
- Pushes inventory updates from the warehouse to UltraCart.
What you’ll need
- An UltraCart account you can sign in to.
- Your UltraCart Merchant ID, API Key, and Distribution Center Code.
- A DropStream account. If you don’t have one yet, contact your DropStream administrator or fulfillment provider.
Setup at a glance
The setup involves work on two sides — UltraCart, then DropStream — and the recommended order is:
- Configure SKUs (in UltraCart) — confirm your UltraCart SKUs match the SKUs loaded into your warehouse management system.
- Gather shipping methods (in UltraCart) — map each shipping method to your fulfillment center’s shipping codes.
- Get your API credentials (in UltraCart) — note your Merchant ID, API Key, and Distribution Center Code.
- Enable API access (in DropStream) — add the store through the Add Connection wizard and enter your UltraCart credentials.
Who does what
- If you manage your own DropStream account, you’ll do every step yourself — switching between UltraCart and DropStream as the article order suggests.
- If a third-party fulfillment provider is configuring DropStream for you, you only need the UltraCart-side steps (SKUs, shipping methods, and Get your API credentials). Send the resulting credentials to your provider; they handle the rest.
Notes and limitations
- SKUs defined in UltraCart must match the SKUs loaded into your warehouse management system, or fulfillment line items won’t map.
- Inventory tracking is automatically enabled for the UltraCart integration.
