One-To-Many, Many-To-One Configurations

In addition to automating order fulfillment between a single store and warehouse, DropStream can connect multiple stores to a warehouse, or a single store to multiple warehouses.

The following connection relationships can be created in DropStream.

One-to-one

In a one-to-one relationship, a single store is connected to a single warehouse. Orders placed at the store are routed to that warehouse.

The store, merchant, and warehouse are grouped in a single connection, that can be accessed in Dashboard > Connections.

Many-to-one

In a many-to-one relationship, multiple stores are connected to a single warehouse. Each store may have a different platform (Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon Marketplace, etc). Orders placed at any of these stores are routed to the same warehouse.

One connection exists for each store in the relationship. The merchant and warehouse in each connection is the same.

Note: DropStream is priced per store. The above example requires three (3) billable stores.

One-to-many

Although uncommon, a single store can be routed to multiple warehouses in a one-to-many relationship, in which multiple stores are created for the same platform using identical credentials. For example, a merchant may have multiple brands, each with its own connection parameters.

These stores can be routed to separate warehouses in separate connections, with the appropriate routing rules configured.
