Manually trigger an order import

Karl Falconer · Updated

You can run a sales order import on demand without waiting for the next scheduled run. This is useful when:

  • You just placed a test order in the sales channel and want to see it in DropStream now.
  • The schedule is infrequent (for example, once per day) and you need to pull a specific order through.
  • You changed something on the source channel side and want to verify the next pull.

Trigger an import

  1. Click Connections in the left sidebar, then click the connection name.
  2. On the Channels tab, find the Sales Orders card.
  3. Click the refresh icon at the right of the card.

  4. Confirm to start the import.

The import runs in the background. New orders appear in Sales Orders > Orders as they’re processed; refresh the list (or watch the Last completed time on the channel card) to see when the run finishes.

Notes

  • A manual import does not reset the schedule — the next scheduled run still happens at its normal time.
  • You can’t trigger an import while the channel is disabled. Enable the Sales Orders toggle on the card first, then trigger.
  • If the connection itself is disabled, both icons on the card are greyed out — enable the connection first from its page header.
