If DropStream sends an order to the warehouse and never receives a shipment notification within a configured window (default 45 days), the order is automatically transitioned out of Open status into Closed (abandoned pending shipment).
Abandoned orders behave like archived orders: no further automatic processing happens, and the order won’t be re-imported from the source channel. If the warehouse later reports a shipment, the tracking won’t flow back to the sales channel until you manually move the order back into processing.
Recover an abandoned order
-
From Sales Orders > Orders, filter by Status: Closed to find abandoned orders.
-
Either:
- For a single order: open the order, click Actions > Reprocess.
- For multiple orders: select them in the list and click Retry Processing (see Bulk order actions).
Reprocessed orders return to Open status and remain open for another full window before transitioning to abandoned again.
Change the abandonment window
The 45-day default is set per merchant. To change it, email support@getdropstream.com with the merchant name and the desired number of days.
