PayPal - Authorize API Access

In order to establish the API connection, first you must authorize DropStream to connect in PayPal.

Authorize API access in PayPal

  1. Log in to your PayPal account, and click Profile.
  2. Click My Selling Tools.

    In PayPal, go to Profile, My Selling Tools.

  3. Under Selling online, next to API Access, click Update.
  4. Under Option 1, click Grant API Permission.

  5. In the Third Party Permission Username field, enter DropStream’s PayPal API username, then click Lookup. If you don’t have it, contact DropStream Support at support@getdropstream.com for the exact username to authorize.

  6. Under Available Permissions, check the following two boxes:

    Search your transactions for items that match specific criteria and display the results

    Obtain information about a single transaction

    Under Available Permissions, check the boxes Search your transactions for items that match specific criteria and display the results, and Obtain information about a single transaction. Then click Add.

  7. Click Add to grant the selected permissions.
