DropStream connects your 1ShoppingCart store to a warehouse management system so orders flow automatically from cart to shipment, and stock levels stay in sync without manual intervention.
What this integration does
- Imports orders from 1ShoppingCart into DropStream.
- Forwards orders to your warehouse management system, with line items mapped by SKU and the customer’s chosen shipping method translated to a code the fulfillment center understands.
- Posts fulfillment status back to 1ShoppingCart when the warehouse ships, including tracking numbers and carrier information.
What you’ll need
- A 1ShoppingCart admin account you can sign in to.
- Your 1ShoppingCart Merchant ID and API Key.
- A DropStream account. If you don’t have one yet, contact your DropStream administrator or fulfillment provider.
Setup at a glance
The setup involves work on two sides — 1ShoppingCart, then DropStream — and the recommended order is:
- Get your API credentials (in 1ShoppingCart) — note the Merchant ID and API Key.
- Enable API access (in DropStream) — add the store through the Add Connection wizard and enter the Merchant ID and API Key.
- Configure SKUs — give every 1ShoppingCart product a SKU. They don’t have to match your warehouse SKUs; if they differ, map them with a Listing. Missing SKUs are a common cause of failed fulfillment.
- Gather shipping methods — map the shipping methods offered at checkout to the codes your fulfillment center uses.
Who does what
- If you manage your own DropStream account, you’ll do every step yourself — switching between 1ShoppingCart and DropStream as the article order suggests.
- If a third-party fulfillment provider is configuring DropStream for you, you only need Get your API credentials. Send the resulting Merchant ID and API Key to your provider; they handle the rest.
Notes and limitations
- 1ShoppingCart authenticates with a Merchant ID and API Key — there is no OAuth or Authorize step.
