Infusionsoft - Configuring SKUs

Stock keeping units (SKU) are merchant defined codes used to uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in Infusionsoft match exactly to the SKUs loaded into your warehouse management system.

Options for configuring SKUs include:
    
  • Adding a SKU
  • Modifying a SKU for an Existing Product
  • Generating SKUs for Product Variants

Adding a SKU in Infusionsoft

To add SKU to a new product:
  

  1. Login to your Infusionsoft administration panel, navigate to the E-Commerce Module.

  2. From the E-Commerce Setup screen, click Products.

  3. Click the Add a Product button.

  4. Fill in the product details, be sure that the Product Type selected is Product.

  5. On the Manage Product screen, enter a value for the SKU.


     
  6. Click the Save​ button.


Modify a SKU in Infusionsoft

To modify a SKU for an existing product:
   
  1. Login to your Infusionsoft administration panel, navigate to the E-Commerce Module.

  2. From the E-Commerce Setup screen, click Products.

  3. Click the Product name for the desired product.

  4. Modify the product SKU.

  5. Click the Save button.



     

Generating SKUs for Product Variants

For product Options, it is important that each of the product options has a corresponding SKU number, and that the fulfillment provider is aware of these product option SKUs.

To setup product option SKUs is Infusionsoft:
    

  1. From the Infusionsoft Dashboard, navigate to E-Commerce.

  2. Click on Products.

  3. Click on the product of choice.

  4. Click on Product Options.

  1. Provide a Name for the product option and set the Option type.

  2. Click on Add.
     

  1. Under "Create a New Color Option Value" enter a "Value Name" and "Code" for the new product option.  The code is the SKU which will be sent through to the the fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.

  2. Click on Add.
