WooCommerce - Allowing API Access

The Application Programming Interface (API) allows for automated communication between with connected platforms. In order to automate fulfillment, API Access must be enabled.

The following steps are required in order to enable API Access to WooCommerce:
     
  1. Adding the DropStream Plugin
  2. Creating Integration User
  3. Gathering Store URL
  4. Gathering API Credentials
  5. Entering API Credentials in DropStream
 
Adding the DropStream Plugin

To add the DropStream Plugin:
   
  1. From the WP Administrative Dashboard, click on Plugins

  2. Search for the DropStream Plugin

  3. Click on Add Plugin

  4. Activate the DropStream Plugin



Creating Integration User

To create the required Integration User:
     
  1. From the WP Administrative Dashboard, click on Users

  2. Click on Add User

  3. Provide Username and Password

  4. Provide the administrative role under Role

  5. Click on Add New User

  6. Retain the Username and Password


Gathering API Credentials
 
The following credentials are required:
  
  • Username and Password - Retained during Creating User process from above

  • Store URL - Store URL is the root domain of your WooCommerce store.



Entering API Credentials in DropStream

To enter the API Credentials:
     
  1. Go to your WooCommerce Store in DropStream

  2. Click Actions > Settings


     

  3. Enter API Credentials in Connection Details


     

  4. Click blue Add Store / Save Changes button
